摘要：
In this paper, the structural behaviour of plates and stiffeners of pyramidal hoppers used in steel silos has been studied. The analysis of stiffened and non-stiffened hoppers was performed by means of analytical, numerical and experimental procedures. A finite element software was used for the numerical analysis and real scale prototypes for the experimental ones. It was achieved good economy of material, when the structural system constituted only by plates had been stiffened in an adequate way.
