摘要
In order to evaluate heat exchange between the heat carrier and the furnace charge it is convenient to use apparent values of thermophysical parameters as the changes in composition and state of aggregation of the charge are too complex to lend themselves to quantitative analysis. Calorimetric and DTA methods were used to study the apparent values of enthalpy changes, specific heat, thermal diffusivity, and thermal conductivity of non-ferrous materials in the course of furnace processes at 273 to 1600 K and the dependence of these parameters on the temperature and composition of the materials. The internal heat sources and fluxes have also been taken into account. These apparent thermophysical parameters were also established for ferrous ore and furnace charges and the results have been used in optimizing the thermal operating conditions of furnaces.
