Electronic Publishing of Full Texts.

Not only authors but also others like publishers, editors, printers, booksellers, libraries and information/documentation centers are engaged in publication and distribution of new scientific and technical knowledge. The paper shows which parts of this chain are already automated, where there are still difficulties and where consequences and changes for libraries in particular are to be expected. Special attention is drawn to videodisks and the ADONIS project.
