In a previous work the author derived the principal relations for the mathematical simulation of soil as a medium consisting of two components with consideration of the influence of primary consolidation. The resulting shape of the damping function is given. Examples presented illustrate the validity of expressions derived, as well as the adaptability of the simulation model in design practice.
