摘要：

The use of ceramic cutting materials has made it possible with suitable workpieces and materials, to exceed cutting speeds of 1000 m/min. Further development of these cutting materials in terms of improved ductility, higher resistance to abrasion, and longer life service will further enhance their applicability.
