摘要
New efforts at obtaining improved design methods for gas-liquid flow systems involve a detailed phenomenological understanding of the interaction between phases and of the rate processes causing the distribution of the phases. This approach is illustrated by considering the transition from stratified to intermittent flow in a horizontal pipeline, and the prediction of pressure drop and liquid holdup for fully developed stratified flow in a horizontal pipeline.
