Exchangeability test on φ90 mm/600 MB phase-change optical disks for common specifications

摘要：
A common testing machine for φ90 mm phase-change (PC) optical disks is developed. The performance of the developed machine is tested by comparison with three manufacturers' experimental machines. The exchangeability test for these machines was done using disks made by the three companies. Six sample disks made by several different makers were also simultaneously evaluated with the developed machine. Items tested in this work are (1) read-write characteristics, (2) overwrite cycle performance, and (3) the influence of crosstalk on detrack, defocus and tilt angles.
