FIVE TWIN-SCREW PATROL BOATS FOR R. W. S.

Van Mill's Shipyard B. V. at Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the Netherlands, has completed a series of five twin-screw patrol boats which were constructed for the Netherlands Department for the Maintenance of the Waterways (Rijkswaterstaat). The vessels are fast patrol boats intended for service on all inland waters in the Netherlands. They can carry out limited tow and push services and are capable of operating in ice conditions of 2-6 centimeters. Design features of these boats are discussed in this article.
