摘要：
The importance of night vision improvement systems in reducing the number of fatal accidents at night is discussed. A NIR based system which uses near infrared radiation from the modified halogen headlight is presented. It is found that the NIR system provides a familiar appearance of object comparable to the appearance within the high beam of the vehicle headlights. A comparison of the system performance of the FIR and NIR systems is also presented.
