摘要
The replacement of classical tool steels of type 13% Cr in cold forming and stamping by conventional high-speed steels leads to a significant improvement of the tool quality due to a higher toughness and wear resistance. However, conventional high-speed steels in these applications have several disadvantages which can be overcome by using high-speed steels prepared by powder metallurgical methods. The characteristics and advantages of such tool steels are discussed in detail.
