SOME BASIC PHYSICAL PROPERTIES.

This review-paper provides a short summary of the literature on a few of the basic properties that have been or can be measured on stereoregular polymers. As new polymers are prepared by different catalyst systems, they can then be subjected to similar measurements. Emphasis is placed on properties that are considered to be of practical importance and discussion is not presented on measurements that are aimed at advancing the theories of polymer behavior rather than providing specific information on a polymer of potential industrial importance. The discussion is presented in six parts - (1) introduction; (2) general review articles; (3) transition behavior - general; (4) solution properties; (5) polymer-solvent interactions; (6) current problems.
