摘要：
A method for making small steel ingots giving a higher yield in rolling was developed. The method, called TURNCAST, results in ingots with a long, narrow and oxide-free pipe, obtained by suitable tilting of the mold after freezing of the top surface. A mechanization of the teeming of small ingots might offer a more convenient solution for smaller plants.
