Precast beams in continuous bridges

Clark & Sugie have dealt with two aspects of the design of precast beams in continuous construction. In response to this previous study, the present work focuses only on the sagging moments that occur at the supports due to creep of the pre-stressed beams. It is argued that contrary to the claims made by Clark & Sugie, it is wrong to consider the question of the sagging moments at the supports in isolation.
