摘要
The report presents the evaluation of the design and full-scale testing of a composite (steel-concrete) truss. The span of the truss was 12 m, and it was 0. 85 m high, with a 63 mm normal weight concrete slab on a 76 mm corrugated steel deck. Overall failure was precipitated by the buckling of a compression diagonal of the truss. The report details the failure and why this particular mode prevailed, and makes recommendations with regard to design and construction procedures.
