Collective lattice vibrations of screw dislocations as an example of the dynamics of acoustic superlattice

Equations of small vibrations of a dislocation attice are proposed on the basis of a simple one component model. The lattice consists of a periodically arranged set of parallel screw dislocations. The longwave collective vibrations of plasmon type are described. It is shown that there may occur a gap in the frequency spectrum near the plasmon frequency.
