The paper describes a new method proposed by the authors for shielding cryogenic surfaces from solidified gases when the surfaces are surrounded by an uncondensed gas; the method consists in the fact that a stream of pure uncondensed gas directed opposite to the diffusing impurities is produced in the space near the shielded surface. Using the example of the hydrogen chambers of the JINR, the efficiency of the developed method relative to previously known methods is demonstrated.
