摘要
Silver-free zeolites have been placed in a low position in the iodine removal process of the dissolver off-gas (DOG); little is known about their abilities of trapping organic iodides. In a previous work which was carried out with the intention of using silver-free zeolites for that purpose, a gaseous mixture of CH//3I (100 ppm), NO//2 (1%) and air was supplied to a zeolite 13X (a silver-free zeolite) column, and it was found that NO//2 decomposed CH//3I to produce I//2. Other products remained to be clarified. This work was carried out to establish the stoichiometry of the reaction and also to grasp behvior of the I//2 thereby produced. A static method was employed for the former, while a dynamic method was applied for the latter with the aid of tracer technique using radiodine **1**3**1I.
