Application of High-Speed Burners in Heat Treating Furnaces.

High-velocity burners are particularly suitable for use in reheating and heat-treating furnaces since recirculation causes uniform temperature distribution in the furnace chamber. Satisfactory operation requires the provision of enough for recirculation to make sure that the stock is fully exposed to the flow of hot gas. Tests have shown that during the soaking cycle convective heat transfer is almost twice as high as in conventional heating.
