Experimental data on heat transfer from single finned tubes in an air flow, with the tubes and fins made of a variety of metals with different thermal conductivities, are examined. It is shown that a variation in the thermal conductivity of the metal has an effect on values of heat transfer rates. A set of equations for calculating the heat transfer from finned tubes over a wide range of geometries and thermal conductivities is suggested.
