The Bexbach 750 MW power plant unit has been installed for medium-load operation. This mode of operation is distinguished by frequent plant start-up and shutdown. This paper reports on the operational experience with high-pressure pipework and valves. In addition to regular inspection of the pipework routes, particular attention is paid to the operational performance, during numerous unit start-ups of pipework subject to irregular flow.
