Memory Capacities for Programs and Data in the Pulse-Code (PC) System.

Universal considerations on the demand of memory locations in computer-controlled communication engineering exchanges are established and discussed on the basis of a PC system, which is a system of digital data transmission. The functional algorithm between the control and the periphery typical of telecommunication is derived from a functional graph valid for exchanges and relating to the form of organization in the communication network. An imaginary block distribution conditioned functionally is established and the flow of messages and commands to be exchanged between the control and control periphery is determined.
