Knot-removal and fairing of B-spline curves

摘要：
The problem of knot-removal for B-spline curves is investigated. The sufficient and necessary condition for removing knots of B-spline curves exactly is simplified. Based on the constrained optimization method, a new algorithm of knot-removal is derived by perturbing the control points of B-spline curves. This method can also be used to fair B-spline curves.
