Study of a phase transition of crystal in the PMN-PT system

The dielectric, pyroelectric and piezoelectric properties of the Pb (Mg1/2Nb2/3)O-Pb-TiO3 crystal were studied, in the temperature range from 70 K to 600 K. The measurement shows that a paraelectric-ferroelectric transition exists near 474 K, and a ferroelectric transition exists near 180 K. Near the transition temperature, a thermal hysteresis was found in dielectric, pyroelectric and piezoelectric measurements. It has the characteristics of the first-order transition.
