摘要
The efficient production of moldings and semifinished ware is governed by the cooling process which has essential influence on cycle and production times. This makes the computation of cooling processes very important. Provided that the characteristic data of the material are known, the equations and the solution procedure can be applied to the most varied of materials. The solution procedure for this purpose was programmed on a pocket computer. For practical use, the computation of the cooling process was reduced to two different types of basic geometry: the infinitely extended panel, and the infinitely long cylinder. For these two geometries equations are established to compute temperature distributions, average temperatures, maximum temperatures and cooling cycles.
