摘要
Induction heating and resistance heating feature the benefit of closely-localized heating of the joint area, producing excellent results. In induction heating, an alternating current flowing in a conductor produces an alternating magnetic field, which induces eddy currents in the metal working piece causing it to heat up. In resistance heating, current switched on electrodes, the electrical resistance (R) of which is high for carbon resistance heating and low for interfacial resistance heating, generates the required heat. This heat is conducted into the work, melts the brazing alloy and the joint is made.
