摘要：

The relationship between queueing phenomena and their theory is studied in detail and it is shown that the time dimension in queueing phenomena is not identical with the time dimension used in the theory. It is also revealed that if the arrivals do not obey a Poisson distribution, then a solution to the queueing problem based on such a correspondence between phenomenon and theory is hard to find.
