Discussed is the problem of vertical mixing in the atmosphere over elongated sources of heat and aerosol which absorbs solar radiation. In approximation of a homogeneous convective boundary layer estimates are obtained for the rate of growth of the height of the turbid layer. Considered in this case were its heaving by solar radiation and by heat sources on the underlying surface and longwave cooling. A self-modeling solution is obtained in the simplest inhomogeneous model of the convective layer. With its help we investigated the influence of the intensity of turbulent exchange and optical characteristics of aerosol on its vertical distribution and on the temperature profile.
