摘要：
Progress made in the development of VLSI circuits is discussed. It is pointed out that limitations in their application are not caused by deficient technological development, but are rather due to inappropriate methods in implementation. Results of recent investigations in design methodology for microprocessor programming systems are reported which show achievements made in applications.
