LOW-ENDURANCE FATIGUE OF MILD STEEL BEAMS.

A method is developed for determining the cyclic behavior of simple and indeterminate mild steel beams subjected to alternating and repeated loads. Cyclic moment-curvature relations are evolved from experiments involving pure bending and axial push-pull tests. Using these characteristics, predictions of behavior for simple equilibrium systems subjected to these ambient control conditions can be compared with experiments.
