摘要：
After a review of the aims of a research project called ″the long life automobile″ , the construction of an automobile body made exclusively of galvanized steel sheet is described. This includes selection of the material, the welding process (electric resistance MAG process), exhausting of the welding fumes, and testing for corrosion. Automobiles with hot dip galvanized bodies have proved to outlast others. The (serial) production costs are less than DM 200 higher per car.
