The paper proposes a method of the dynamic calculus of the mechanized tongs beginning with the reduced motor (active) torque to the gear crown. This torque establishes the tangential forces and the normal forces to the profile of the rotative cams. Knowing the resistant (output) torque and taking the friction forces into account, the normal reaction of the tubular bodies on the levers is calculated. The necessary motor (input) torque for the rotation of the tubes is then determined.
