Effect of end restraint upon the strength of steel columns with initial imperfections

摘要：
The strength of steel columns in compression with end restraints against rotation and lateral displacement is investigated. The use of the Beer-Schulz method in the investigation has led to new conclusions in case of non-sway columns. At the same time, the Beer-Schulz method is extended to determination of the strength of sway columns.
