摘要
When selecting a method of heating and cooling a gas-lined reactor, the process engineer's objectives are rapid uniform heat-up and cool-down, and precise control. If these objectives are attained, the reaction yields and productivity are higher because less time is wasted at transition temperatures. In this paper the authors describe how thermal-liquid systems, and their associated reactor temperature controls, can help achieve this in glass-lined reactors, with their inherent limiting conditions. The following topics are discussed in some detail - using glass-lined reactors; the heat-transfer fluid; typical heat-transfer system, and reactor temperature controls.
