摘要：
The idea of computer integrated manufacturing has been around ever since the microchip introduced the feasibility of compressing the size and cost of computing systems. Now low-cost microprocessors provide plant subsystems, machines, and auxiliaries with the intelligence needed to funnel reams of essential production information from machines to computer hosts and back again.
