摘要
A charged-particle energy analyzer with an appropriate electrostatic field can have a resolution better than that of a cylindrical-mirror analyzer that uses second-order angular focusing. The appropriate electrostatic field is the axisymmetric field V (r,z) similar (1 plus Az/r//1)1n (r/r//1). This field is approximately cylindrical if the coefficient A is small.
