Sharp conditions for oscillations in some nonlinear nonautonomous delay differential equations

The oscillation of the first order nonlinear nonautonomous delay differential equation is studied. A solution of this equation is said to be oscillatory if it has arbitrarily large zeros, otherwise the solution is nonoscillatory. A theorem giving the sharp conditions necessary for the existence of oscillatory solutions to the equation is proven. Some applications of this theorem and a brief discussion about linearized oscillation is presented.
