With Expert Systems, compute science confronts one of the most difficult and promising challenges, that of knowledge representation and the simulation of human thinking. We try to answer some questions about this subject: What is Artificial Intelligence? Expert Systems? What are the mechanisms of Expert Systems? What are the applications of Expert Systems at E. D. F. ? What about the future of Expert Systems?
