A titanium alloy is studied for its low cycle fatigue under conditions of pulse tension with a trapezoidal form of the load variation cycle with a frequency approaching 2 cycle/min within a wide temperature range. Results of the study are considered. It is established that a decrease in the test temperature to 77 K does not produce any qualitative changes in the pattern of deformation and failure of the titanium PT3V alloy. Data for the alloy are compared with those for other titanium alloys tested under analogous temperatures and conditions of loading.
