Cold-runner Molds for Injection Molding of Rubber.

The design of the molds is of special importance at the processing of elastomers by injection molding. In this paper the construction and design of various cold-runner molds in standard types are dealt with. The design and the dimensions of the runners are especially considered, as its conception has a well-defined influence on the course of production. Moreover problems are discussed, resulting from the connection between the cold channel block and the injection mold, as well as by the heating up to a preset temperature.
