摘要
As part of the Fixed Installation Camouflage Research Program at the Waterways Experiment Station (WES), a twofold approach has been adopted to quantify the tactical value of existing and proposed camouflage concepts and materials that may be effective against multispectral threats. First, since the early 1970's, WES has been involved in numerous field trials dealing with visual and thermal infrared camouflage technology. The second part of the program, which interacts extensively with the first, is the continued development of analytical models. This effort initially led to the production of a multispectral camouflage design procedure and, ultimately, will lead to an automated camouflage effectiveness evaluation system.
