摘要
This paper is devoted to one aspect of tribology, wear, which is described as 'the progressive removal of material from a surface stemming from relative movement at that surface. ' Wear as a phenomenon can be caused by a number of specific mechanisms and the practical situation is often complicated by the simultaneous operation of several of them.
