摘要
Experimental work with an airborne Vinten Reconaissance Camera Type 360 revealed that the camera will record approach and runway lighting satisfactorily in daylight conditions at 100% brilliancy, and that it will also photograph systems at night at the required settings for night operations. By selecting a continuous run of photographs at 0. 5 second intervals and descending through the glide path from, say, two dots up to two dots down, the exposures will straddle the VASIS signals from white/white to red/red and give a very accurate recording of the system. Discrepancies in balance between various VASI boxes can be indicated to the maintenance engineers by selecting suitable photographs at the point of colour change.
