摘要
The Land-Use Change Analysis System (Lucas) has been developed to foster harmonious relationships between humans and the biosphere through domestic and international cooperation in interdisciplinary research, education, information exchange, and the creation of biosphere reserves. Developing this system required expertise from ecologists, economists, sociologists, and computer scientists. Lucas, programmed in C++, operates on Unix workstations running X Windows.
