Solutions of a problem for the action of an inclined plane ring punch on an elastic half-space by means of asymptotic methods are constructed. It is supposed that the friction forces are absent in the region of punch contact with the half-space. The solutions are obtained in the form of simple formulae for small and large values of the dimensionless parameter, characterizing the relative thickness of the ring.
