FORMATION OF THE POROUS STRUCTURE OF CARBONIZED PRODUCTS.

The results are given of an investigation of the thermal decomposition of peat in the presence of compounds of different chemical natures with the aim of studying the formation of the porous structure of the solid residues as a function of the temperature of carbonization. It has been shown that the change in the nature of the porous structure of the carbonaceous materials, especially the volumes of the micro- and macropores, depends both on the temperature of carbonization and on the type of compound added.
