摘要
The market for commercial vehicles is still not very encouraging, although a slight increase in production is expected for 1985. Nonetheless, the technical development of vehicles, engines and other components was continued at an even faster pace than before with electronics especially finding new applications in power-train and brake systems. This year again, the most radical improvements were made on heavy-duty trucks, although some of the light and middle-duty models were optimized by manufacturer's investing heavily. All measures have been aimed at better economy, lower emissions, more active and passive safety and relieving driver stress. Vehicle manufacturers have had to specialize, producing as a group a broad selection of vehicle bodies and a complete array of models.
