Use of cold accumulators to produce ice water gives the opportunity to significantly reduce energy consumption to cool products. The main requirements for such devices are low cost, simple design and high efficiency of heat transfer processes. The cold accumulator described in this paper meets such requirements. To obtain working characteristics of such a device, it was investigated how the temperature of water at the outlet depends on the initial temperature of water, on the temperature of cold air and circulation time of water, moving in the closed circuit. Several experimental results are given. The device can be effectively used to accumulate cold and freeze water in panels and in the layer above panels.
