Results are presented of theoretical and experimental study of the characteristics of an improved solar energy converter based on evacuated glass tubular elements with improved selective coating (absorptivity to emissivity ratio alpha //c/ epsilon equals 19), additionally strengthened by thermal insulation and foil reflector.
