In certain Danish power plants during the last five years turbine condensers have been cleaned and protected against corrosion by a combined treatment with hydrochloric acid, ferrous sulfate and foamed latex balls. The factors which led to the adoption of this method are reviewed, and the practical execution of the method is described.
