Methods of Evaluation of the Secondary Recrystallization Process in Transformer Steels.

A very close interrelationship has been found to exist between magnetic induction, percentage of grains with (110) left bracket 001 right bracket orientation, and initial permeability. This makes it possible to evaluate the secondary recrystallization process on the basis of magnetic induction and initial permeability values; this approach is shown to be much faster than conventional methods used for determining secondary recrystallization.
